UP cabinet has approved extension of Noida metro from sector 51 to KP 5, Gr Noida West.
This week UP govt. approved new corridor of Noida metro, extension of Aqua line, up to Greater Noida West. But a big question is what will be the route of the new metro line and what will be the connectivity with the housing projects?
Rapidly building housing societies, commercial projects and a growing population in Greater Noida West have drawn the attention of the state government towards increasing connectivity and creating new transportation infrastructure. Hence the UP cabinet has given approval to extend the Noida metro corridor up to Gr Noida west.
“This new Noida metro corridor, 15 km long, will have 9 metro stations and will be developed in 2 phases. This metro project with a budget of Rs. 2682 crores will start by March- April 2020″, said P D Upadhyay, the executive director, Noida Metro Rail Corporation (NMRC).
Now let’s see the proposed route of Noida metro in Greater Noida West. In the 1st phase, metro corridor Noida’s Sector 51, which is the interface of Blue Line and Aqua Line, will be made up to Sector 2 of Greater Noida West which will be 9.7 km long.
The 1st phase will have 5 metro stations, out of which 2 will be in Sector 119/120 and another will be constructed at 122/123 of Noida. Remaining 3 stations will be in Sector 4, Ecotech 12 and Sector 2 of Greater Noida West or Noida Extension.
In the second phase, 4 metro stations will be built, which will end at Knowledge Park 5 via Sector 3, 10 and 12. Hence the metro route will be on 130 meter road, which goes further to Bodaki and depot station.
Now let’s come to those housing societies which will be connected with new corridor of Noida metro. Dozens of housing societies and households in Sector 116, 118, 119, 120 and 121 will be connected with metro station of Sector 119/120. Metro station of sector 122/123 will be close to Parthala Chowk.
Both metro stations will have access of dozens of housing societies including Prateek L’Oreal, RG Homes, Gaur Grandur, Aledeko, Amrapali Platinum, Zodiac, Cleo County, Homes 121, Aranya, Ambrosia apart from nearby industrial sector and villages.
The Aqua line of Gr Noida West will have next metro station at sector 4 that will be close to Kisan or Gaur Chowk. It is believed that the Metro station of Sector 4 will be the largest as the roundabout connects the main roads of Greater Noida West, Shahbari, Crossing Republik, Surajpur and NH 24.
3rd metro station of corridor and 1st station of Noida Extension, sector 4 will be access point of residential and commercial projects of sector 4, 16C and few projects of sector 1 and Techzone 4. Also Gaur City 1 & 2, Saya Zion, Blue Bells, Golf Homes, Exotica Dreamville, JNC Park, Vedantam, Palm Olympia, Mywoods, besides, commercial projects on main road will get direct access.
4th metro station at Ecotech 12 of Gr Noida West and provide metro connectivity to dozens of housing societies of Sector 16, 16 B and Techzone 4. Some of the major housing projects are Cherry County, Green Arch, Nirala Aspire, Panchsheel Greens, Ecovillage 2, Centurian Park, La Resdentia, Nirala Estate etc.
Sector 2 will be last metro station of Gr Noida West metro in 1st phase. Apart from Sampoornam, Samridhi, Dreamvalley, Royal Nest, Habitech and projects of sector 10 will get metro connectivity.
For housing societies of sector 1, metro station of sector 4 and 123 both will be accessible due to strategic location and road connectivity. Projects of Sector 1 – Rise Group, Hynish, Eco Village 1, Ardent, Valencia Park, Gayatri Aura, CRC, Stellar, Ace, Leisure Valley, Leisure Park, Ace City, Amber etc.
Overall, the Aqua Line extension will connect Noida Extension’s housing projects to Noida, Delhi Ghaziabad, Gurgaon and Faridabad. Approximately 1 lakh people will be able to travel by metro till 2023.
Dinesh Jain- MD, Exotica Housing says, “Greater Noida West is well known for the handpicked quality of affordable units in NCR. In the last 2-3 years more than 80 housing societies have been delivered and around 2.50 lakh families are residing in the vicinity. The approval for metro corridor project will connect the densely inhabited sector 16, 16C, 4, and Techzone 4 to the Aqua Line and the adjoining Blue Line metro network, which connects Noida with Delhi.
Suresh Garg- CMD, Nirala World says, “Metro corridor up to sector 2 will escalate demand of property and price too. We can expect a price appreciation of 10-15 % depending on the location, size of the project and delivery status of the developer. Over the time, number of residential and commercial projects will be on the verge of completion resulting in the more density in the province demanding swift transportation system.
Hari Om Dixit- Director, Gayatri Gorup,“Gr Noida West will be next housing destination after Aqua line metro. The region has enough under construction properties, approximately 1.00 lakh, that will be ready sooner or later. Extension of Noida metro is going to push sentiments of sector and demand of housing units in the region. Till 2023 metro line will also be operational and home buyers will have easy connectivity to adjoining cities.”
